Nurudeen Mohammed yet to report to Asante Kotoko training; here are the reasons

Asante Kotoko SC's central defender, Nurudeen Yussif Mohammed has not reported to the team's training base at Adako Jachie since the team resumed training last Friday.

The player has been in Tamale since the team broke camp after the end of the 2023/24 Ghana Football season working on a permanent stay in Kumasi.

The professional nurse and footballer could not secure a permanent move to Kumasi last season when he joined Asante Kotoko SC from Real Tamale United due to documentation process.

To have full concentration for Asante Kotoko SC coming next season, Nurudeen Mohammed will have to finalize the move to ensure he stays and work in Kumasi.

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) and the technical team of the club have, thus, given the player extra days to finalize the move before fully joining the team for their preparation to their upcoming game.

After the club confirmed the parting ways with over twenty (20) player after the end of last season, the team is gearing up into a phase of an entirely new team which will require the experience of the commanding center half who has been exceptional since joining the Porcupine Warriors last season.

Asante Kotoko SC defeated Kumasi Cornerstones by 5-0 on Monday at the Adako Jachie training grounds in a trial match to prepare the team for the maiden edition of the Democracy Cup against Accra Hearts of Oak on July 17, 2024 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
