Samartex sign Mankuyeli

 Ghana Premier League champions, FC Samartex 1996 have announced the signing of striker Mohammed Alhassan Mankuyeli from relegated side Real Tamale United.


The 23-year-old penned a two-year-deal that will keep him with the CAF Champions League campaigners till the end of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season with an option to extend a year.

The Samraboi-based side keep bolstering their squad as they envisage a long and herculean season ahead of them both locally and continental in order that they meet the test of time.

Having shined in the just ended league, though his side got relegated, Mankuyeli has been a household name among top strikers in the country where he scored ten (10) goals for his side placing him among the class of top forming strikers in the Ghana Premier League.

He will join Baba Hamidu who formed a solid partnership with club's top scorer, Evans Osei Wusu as the team prepares for the next campaign, starting with the CAF Champions League preliminary rounds against Victory United FC from Cameroon.

Midfielder Seidu Yussif Dauda has already left Samartex to join APR FC in Rwanda and reports throughout the week indicated that, captain Emmanuel Keyekeh has also joined a Tanzania side which the club have officially denied that.

This prepares the club to strengthen identity departments left weak to aid them reach a respectable stage in the CAF Champions League after Medeama SC's fairytale performance last season.
