Ghana Premier League champions for the 2023/24 season, FC Samartex 1996 have been paired with Cameroonian side Victory United FC in the first round of the Preliminary stages of the 2024/24 CAF Champions League.
The draw for the games was done today in Cairo and has set light on the 2024/25 CAF Club Competitions which places much emphasis on how the Ghanaian champions will perform in this season's competition.
After Medeama SC completed a thoroughly fairytale performance in last season's competition, Samartex 1996 will be on the high to ensure they do better than their predecessors, thus, to get out of the group stages into the knockout stages.
The Samraboi-based side have already started their pre-season anticipation for their first game in August against Victory United FC and are invigorating their squad to meet the standard required to propel them meet their target.
The first leg comes off on the weekend of August 16-19, 2024 in Cameroon with the second leg a week after in Ghana.
