Samuel Eto'o to be removed as FECAFOOT President

The Ethics Committee of the Cameroonian Football Association, FECAFOOT, are on the verge of stripping off the President of the Association, Samuel Eto'o Fils from the position.

The Amateur Football Clubs Association (AFCA) in the country have discovered evidents of dual citizenship of Samuel Eto'o which goes against the ethics of the association.

The former Africa Best Player, it is believed, obtained Spanish citizenship during his playing days with Barcelona which prevents him from contesting for the position due to his dual nationality.

This is supported by over fifty (50) club presidents of the AFCA's and have officially prompted the Ethics Committee to force the President to step down accordingly.

The 44-year-old was elected as the President of the FECAFOOT in December 2021 after beating Seidou Mbombo Njoya who served for one term with 43 votes.

His administration has gone through plethora of controversies with former players and club administrators over the years but have sailed through and came out clean.

The call to step him aside with these charges by the AFCA to the Ethics Committee left to be determined in the coming days.
