Spanish side Barcelona B have picked up Ghanaian defender David Oduro from Accra Lions on a three-year-deal.
The deal was completed on Friday after the youngster had successfully gone through a training session to test his mettle for a possible place with the juvenile side of FC Barcelona.
The 18-year-old will was in England for a trial with Chelsea before moving to Barcelona where he caught the attention of the technical team of the club.
He will fight for a place in the senior side of the team as he will start from La Masia, becoming the first Ghanaian player to move from a Ghana Premier League side to Barcelona.
David Oduro was integral in Accra Lions' successful 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season where they finished second on the league log with 51 points.
