Kovacic Talent Watch Kicks Off in Kumasi: 16 Teams Compete for Glory

 The third edition of the Saeed Kovacic Talent Watch commenced on Thursday, August 1, at the Akwatialine Park.


This month-long tournament brings together 16 teams from 16 communities, divided into four zones, with the winner claiming a coveted prize.

The Kovacic Talent Watch provides a platform for young players to showcase their skills, develop their potential, and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities. 

Since its inception, the competition has transformed the lives of many young players, with some securing opportunities to join local academies.

Ashtown, the defending champions, will face stiff competition from the 15 other teams. 

The tournament opened with Sawaba defeating Sabon Zongo 2-1.

The teams are grouped into four zones:

Group A: Sabon Zongo, Sawaba, Alabar, Afful Nkwanta
Group B: Atta Commander, Aboabo No1, Manhyia, Dichemso
Group C: Asem, Mempeasem, Aboabo No2, Fante Newtown
Group D: Akwatia Line, Airport City, Ashtown, Yalwa Zongo"
